WHAT’S UP WITH THE OLD GARAGE IN EGG HARBOR?
It looks like something is happening to the old garage on Hwy. 42 in Egg Harbor. The garage at 7730 Hwy. 42 was Norman Kabat’s Shell Gas Station back in the day. The station was built by Norman (Bud) Kabat in 1949. Herman Forey laid the blocks and Bittorfs did the carpentry. The building was owned by Shell Gas with several others running the station after Bud. The garage has been many things over the years after it closed as a gas station. Recently it housed “Something Fishy”, a purse and accessory shop. We can’t wait to see what’s in store for the old garage! Come up for a visit and check it out. If you’re looking for a place to stay, we do have rooms available.
