A traditional Christmas in Sweden is not complete without the traditional Julbord, a holiday variation of a Smorgasbord buffet-style dinner.  Julbord translates into “Christmas Table”.  The meal is typically served in three courses in specific order.  The first course is generally a variety of fish.  The second course is cold sliced meats, cheese, pickled cucumbers and soft and crisp breads.  The third course is made up of warm dishes of roast pork, meatballs, red cabbage and a baked dish of potatoes with anchovies.  Topped off with desert and coffee.   It is truly a friend’s and family feast!

Mark your calendar!  Al Johnson’s if offering up a Traditional Swedish Julbord December 6 and 7 starting at 5pm both nights.  Reservations are required.
