STURGEON BAY’S FINE ART FAIR THIS WEEKEND!

Sturgeon Bay is celebrating the 25th anniversary of the Sturgeon Bay Fine Art Fair.  This weekend’s art fair will feature over 70 artists from across the Midwest.   

On Saturday, May 27 from 10am-5pm and Sunday, May 28 from 10am-4pm, Destination Sturgeon Bay will host artists of all different mediums, such as sculpture, glass, painting, jewelry, fiber, print, metal, photography, wood, and ceramic, who will be selling their original works of art.  Awards first place through third for both two-dimensional and three-dimensional work will be awarded to Fine Art Fair participants. Additionally, Best of Show and Honorable Mention for two-dimensional and three-dimensional categories will be awarded.  Winners will be notified of their titles with a cash prize and ribbon Saturday afternoon.

This  family-friendly event will include a wide variety of children’s activities presented by the Door County Health & Human Services and the Door County Library.  Enjoy music throughout the event provided by DJ Mike Raye.  Also, get a rare opportunity to see raptors up close with free meet and greets provided by the Open Door Bird Sanctuary, Saturday 12 pm to 2 pm and Sunday 11 am to 1 pm.

Come hungry, many food options to chose from:  The Dough Shoppe, Lemonade, Steel Belly BBQ, Cowboy Kettle Corn, The Dog House, and Sturgeon Bay Breakfast Rotary.  Destination Sturgeon Bay will also be selling beer and other refreshing beverages.
