The most popular time for a Door County visit is May through October. My favorite is in October. Fall offers so much for tourists to do from hiking to biking and so much more! Of course, you can’t forget about the fall colors. The vibrant shades of orange, yellow and red from north to south lighting up the wooded shores. There are to many lookouts to see the color which you shouldn’t miss, “Old Baldy” in Whitefish Dunes State Park, Ellison Bay Bluff County Park, “Eagle Tower” in Peninsula State Park, “Old Ski Hill Overlook” in Potawatomi State Park, and the Cana Island Lighthouse in Baileys Harbor
