Blizzard Evelyn, April 2018 Door County

Yes, you read that right.  We are in the middle of a full blown blizzard.  Not just any blizzard, a storm of record proportions.  Epic. Record breaking.  Historic.  Yes, most of the people around here are making the best of it.  Roaring fires, good food, cocktails.  Yeah, we are a hardy bunch and as long as the electricity is in tact, everything is good.  Our son Joe took these photos yesterday…

Crazy huh!  Guess what? It’s worse today.  Way worse.  We have two feet of snow.  The good news? The strong winds are breaking up the ice in the bay.  Although the wind is blowing the ice into Green Bay as opposed to Lake Michigan which will probably pose flooding threats to rivers and such in Green Bay when this all starts to melt.

Don’t lose hope… Spring will come, followed closely by summer. See you on the flip side!
