Polish food comes to Door County, Prince of Pierogi. Prince of Pierogi opens on May 26 located on Water Street in Ephraim. The restaurant will be open for lunch and dinner. This is the only restaurant in Door County to offer hearty made Polish dishes.
Chef Krol is self taught featuring “pierogi”. What exactly is Pierogi? Pierogi are small dumplings stuffed with a variety of fillings and covered with a topping. Popular fillings in Poland include meat, potato, onions, mushrooms or cabbage. Sounds very tasty to me! Chef Krol will offer other unique Polish dishes on top of his featured pierogi.
Cheft Krol first came to Door County in 2012 while in college in Poland. His one month holiday took him to many states across the United States. He enjoyed Door County so much he decided to settle here.
Prince of Pierogi will provide indoor and outdoor seating. The restaurant is located in the Shorewood Village Shops on Water Street. Prince of Pierogi will be open daily May 26 – October 31.
We are thrilled to have a Polish restaurant in Door County. We welcome Chef Krol to Door County.
If you are looking for a place to stay, and want to experience Prince of Pierogi, we open on May 22.
