She’s arrived! At 2:16 p.m. February 27 Carissa and Josh had a baby girl…Adison Jean weighing in at a whopping 9.5 pounds! She is beautiful and perfect and we thank God for our many, many blessings! Here is a photo of Josh and his family…
Jaden, Carissa, Adison and Josh Sawyer
Josh recently adopted Jaden who turns 8 years old today. Happy Birthday Jaden!
Here is me with my new granddaughter… we couldn’t be more proud- or thankful. Mark had to work yesterday and Josh and Carissa were pretty tired so we will head to Green Bay again today so Mark can check out his new granddaughter.
Sadly, our beloved uncle, George Sawyer passed away early this morning. Uncle George made it a point of taking care of not only his own family, but also his nieces, nephews and their families. He was truly an amazing man and he will certainly be missed. He spent many mornings having coffee at Egg Harbor Lodge and when I was at a really low point last summer after losing my dad, it was Uncle George who came to my rescue. With the new baby arriving and losing Uncle George, it reminds me of a Jack Johnson song…
“If I Could”
A brand new baby was born yesterday
Just in time
Papa cried, baby cried
Said “Your tears are like mine”
I heard some words
From a friend on the phone
That didn’t sound so good
The doctor gave him two weeks to live
I’d give him more if I could You know that I would now
If only I could
You know that I would now
If only I could
Down the middle drops one more
Grain of sand
They say that
New life makes losing life easier to understand
Words are kind
They helped ease the mind
I’ll miss my old friend
And though you gotta go
We’ll keep a piece of your soul
One goes out
One comes in You know that I would now
If only I could
You know that I would now
If only I could
-Jack Johnson
