“The Man of a Thousand Voices”, Rich Little will take the stage at the Door Community Auditorium on Sunday May 30 at 7 pm. His presentation of “Jimmy Stewart: A Humorous Look at His Life” will also include at least a dozen additional impersonations.
“A lot of one-man shows, for two hours, can be boring,” Little said. “I didn’t want to make it boring. So I put all the other voices in it.”
In this production, Rich walks through a lifetime of “conversations” between Jimmy Stewart and his famous friends and co-stars. Jack Benny, Humphrey Bogart, Clark Gable, Cary Grant and many others join Rich and Jimmy onstage for this delightful trip through the golden years of the silver screen.
As a kid and even today, I adore Rich Little. I can’t go to the show, but you can bet I am hoping to see him out and about. Maybe he’ll stop in for coffee…. a girl can dream can’t she?
